If you mean the one I actually enjoyed the most - then it's obviously the Redneck Rampage from good old '97 days.
Aside from that, I consider games as a waste of time, with the exclusion of that pearl. If you haven't played it, try it, you won't regret. Genuine humor and extremely addictive game-play. Also, the riddles in that game give your beer clouded brain a hard time trying to solve them. I'd rate this game as 500% on all fronts. And it runs even on a P133 with 2MB PCI ATI Mach64 (that's what I played it on), and forget about any slowdowns, their non-existant with that wonderful game!!!
Deus Ex, without a doubt. Great conspiricy theorist story, and great gameplay to back it up. Nothing better than disabiling a security camera, sneaking into a building, and then BOOM, blow up a whole floor with a well aimed shot with the GEP Gun, clearing out any survivors with the fumes from the gas crates caught in the blast. Can't wait for Deus Ex 2.
It's tough for me to rank games as objectively "best" (it's like comparing apples and oranges), but the five games I probably wasted the most time with were (in no particular order):
Half-Life
Privateer
Master of Orion
Planescape:Torment
Civilization II
System Shock 2 is my 3rd...
Multiplayer Battletech 3025 is my 2nd...this game only made beta, til stupid EA canceled it!!
1st is Planescape:Torment. best story ever, great gameplay, really sucked me in.
Battlefield 1942- endless multiplayer fun
IL-2: Forgotten Battles- best combat flightsim ever
Halo- my favorite video game, intense action and a memorable story/characters
Half Life
Warcraft II
Final Fantasy 3 and 7
Soul Caliber
Street Fighter 2, Alpha 3
Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo
Tony Hawk 4
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
I'm sure there are others. That's just off the top of my head. I'm a pretty big console gamer (or atleast I used to be), but Half Life is probably my favorite.
