What's the best FTP program?

cute ftp... i thought it was the most popular by far, but i guess i was wrong. ws_ftp is pretty crummy, i use that at school sometimes. it just feels really cheap.

Don't you just love when it sits there spinning and you have no idea what it's thinking ? Timeouts take forever and freeeeeeeze.
 
i love smartftp's interface.. and that it's free... but the nagging... $30..blah.

I use filezilla. altho, i wish i could clear the quickconnect history... someo of that stuff is annoyingly old.

Like what? I have been using it for months on multiple machines and have not encountered a single one.

I tried out filezilla but couldnt get into it because it didnt list the windows "Desktop" as the top level directory. I HATED having to manually go to documents and settings, and then user name, and then desktop. Way too much work for something that the rest of the clients do automatically.
