Just a downpipe, exhaust, boost controller, and upped boost. The Supra engine is a detuned 550 hp engine. You don't have to change anything, except for the amount of boost, and the stock turbos will handle 550-600hp. After that you have to change out turbos, and your safe for up to 650hp on the stock block. After that, strengthen the internals and you can take it up to around 1100 hp safely. Of course that gets expensive.

I'm planning to get a supra and I was wondering where's the best place to search for one on sale?What should I be looking out for?Where Can I buy racing parts for the supra.

I'd look for a low mileage Supra anywhere you can, the TT's are hard to find. Expect it to have been driven hard. They have strong iron blocks, so they should be ok. I like SupraStore.com, they sell packages if you don't want to bother putting together your own setup. That's where I got all my parts from. If you had told me about a month ago, I would have sold you mine. 1997 with 50,000 miles 600hp, nice suspension, and I let it go for 19,500. Of course, there were some circumstances that forced me to do that, but we won't get into that.

Damn I would've takin it from you so fast :(

What do you mean by driven hard? Not shifting correctly?

$1400 == 480hp
$2300 == 530hp
$3200 == 600hp

At least for my old Supra that's what it was. And I disagree, the Supra isn't the best car ever created. No luxury feel to it. It was comfortable, but not as comfortable as it could have been. I don't have an opinion on which is the best car created, because there are different bests for different categories.

So for 3200 you can smoke ferraris and lamborghinis? Also how more would it be for a automatic supra to take out ferraris and lamborghinis?

Um...480hp in an automatic would take out alot of ferraris and lambos. My friend down at the track had a 98 TT Automatic with 480hp, and consistantly ran low 12s. With 600hp, the only problem is traction, but if you have perfect traction that's high 10s.

low 12's with 480hp? posh.. i want timeslips, as i would think it would be fast than that.

i can now do high 13's (low 14's consistant) with 12 psi boost.. and that's in my FWD

I'm kinda suprised here that more people arent listing the older domestics (50's/60's era). Those were some truly great cars. The old vettes, cameros, t-birds, as well as the other more common ones. I think I speak for many people when I say that I long for the old days of car design and production. Hell, full-framed cars with rwd, v8s and straight sixs, actual metal construction, and oh yeah, wing tips! What more can you ask?

Well, I'm going to be the first to vote for the Ferrari Enzo. That is one sweet car. 650hp, carbon fiber, F1 styling/aerodynamics, excellent gearbox and phenomenal brakes...truly a supercar. No damned Supra is going to hang with this car for long.

...and a truly, honest-to-goodness souped-up Honda Civic (such as one of the vehicles described here) could prove suitable straight-line competition for any of the above vehicles. Your point is...

;)

Obviously you've never had a traction problem before. Plus, I'm talking from an automatic. Before you talk about stuff you don't know about, or have never experienced, think about what you're saying.

I've also had a mid 13 second FWD car. And it was a CIVIC (granted a 2000 Si with serious moddage), and that was with 10psi of boost. The Supra takes 18psi of boost to run mid 13s. Hmm...does this show us something? Oh yea, maybe pounds of boost doesn't dictate how fast a car goes. Hmm...learn some about cars moron. Take into consideration traction, weight, drivetrain, driver, elevation, temperature, etc. God, I hate when people talk out their ass.

What about the many Supra's that boast over 800 horsepower...hmm, I think they might. And a Supra is more of a track car than a drag car, those turbo's slow it down in the 1/4. Too much lag.

Do you know anything about cars? Racing the car puts much more wear on all the components... engine, clutch, suspension, so these components are much more likely to fail at a lower mileage than with normal driving. And the car is going to be beat. Noone drives a Supra lightly, especially if they know theyre going to sell it soon.
