What's Texas like?

I went line dancing like i usually do on Sunday night's last night. My friend brought along her two friends from College. Both were from Texas. Not only were they cute, but they were actually VERY nice, compared to Jersey girls I meet.

What's Texas like? Are these girls two of a kind? Or am I in the wrong state?

Texas is like any other state. You have your good people and your bad people, good weather/bad weather, etc.

There are lots of cute little country girls here, but most of them are the city type adapting the Texas persona.

I like living here - good jobs, good food, good people. And the exact opposites of those things.

AND, it's better than where I lived in Arkansas.

All i hear about the girls from Northeast US is that they're biatches compared to elsewhere...and I tend to find that true everytime I go south of the Mason-Dixon line...

You'll have east coasters deny this, but from my experience, on average:

The rudest people are from the North East.

The nicest people are from the South.

The Midwest falls somewhere in between.

Fla is a mix since the east coast of Fla has so many NE transplants.

And the most self absorbed people are in SoCal. 😛

it is big

and large

i drove across it in 24 hours straight on I-10

left Lake Charles LA in the morning and drove straight through (with another person) to Silver City NM

Texas tends to be alot friendlier than most Northern States. It was a huge difference when I moved from Michigan to Texas. Of course, you get alot more of the good old boy network.

Good ol boy?

Do you find people to be nicer and less rude in Texas? Glad you moved there?

Texas, Arizona and socal are the only three areas in the US where most women are actually decent looking.

dallas has no more, but no less, of the good ol' boy network than any other midwestern city.

houston has very little good ol' boy network. we welcome new money with open arms. houston is pretty new as a big city, though.

Texas, California, and Florida are the three 'hottest' states.

University of Texas at Austin was ranked #1 party school.

Texas has the highest number of trucks per capita.

Houston was the previous fat capital of the world.

Lot of trucks as in huge delivery trucks? God I hate those.
