The viewsonic p95f really sucks. it suffers from pretty uneven screen quality and relly blurry text. just read the cnet reviews of it...it's junk.

For the Budget Minded Extreme I recomend:

For the Avarage Joe looking for a Decent Display:

The FP line has Is a top notch monitor. And is my Pick for Bang For the Buck.

For someone looking for a cheap monitor that gets the job done I recomend:
Viewsonic P95f

At $669 ESP, your average seems a bit pricey for this joe. I would think that the "average joe" would be looking for something at around half that price point.

Well, the avarage joe way back in the day would have found that monitor to be a bargain. I guess I am getting too old, because things now cost so much less than they (and I am) used to. :)

I believe that was the one that was recomended by PC World. But I could be mistaken. Anyways if it's not, it is good to know about the CNET review.

Well I probably fall into the "Cheap monitor that gets it done" category anyway since I've been with the same 17" CRT monitor for the past 4 years. I got mine for about $150 from somewhere. LOL I can't even remember where. :p

I can remember 11 or 12 years ago when a jumbo 15" (compaired to 13") monitor cost $400-500 and sometimes more.

you should get a 19" LCD:)

I thought of that before, however, I was told CRT>LCD always in gaming. Any suggestion?

I object...with my 12ms panel I hardly notice ghosting (playing 1st person most of the time)...go for 8ms and you won't notice at all :D
No CRTs for me anymore, thanks... ;)
Severe budget restrictions would be the only excuse...
