That is very true.

CRT > LCD: Games, digital imaging, fast motion video
LCD > CRT: Weight/size, power consumption, eyestrain

The L90D+ is a very good LCD.

Man, once you try a 19" or 21", going back to a 17" is impossible. Seriously.

It makes your 17" look like a 14" did when you were using 17" monitors.

Get a 19" monitor. Spend the extra money, cause you can have the best pc in the world but if you have a crappy monitor......... stuff will only look as good as what comes out of that monitor.

Do not get View Sonic. The ultra brite 5x mode of A91f+ is too brite..the middle mode is ok...but the normal is just dark & Blurry and looks like an lcd and to game in normal mode is too dark. I have a sylvania 19inch next to it and miss the size. It REALLY makes a difference!

But what about Envision? Their 19" Monitor is only about $170, and I haven't heard anything bad about it.

My brother has an Envision 19". It's not bad, but it's far from anything special. I would go with the previous recommendations and get an NEC or something. My old monitor was a 17" NEC SyncMaster and it looked far better than the Envision monitors. NECs are just VERY crystal clear and look really nice, Envision looks a bit washed out.

The FP line has Is a top notch monitor. And is my Pick for Bang For the Buck.

For someone looking for a cheap monitor that gets the job done I recomend:
Viewsonic P95f

The Nec FE line is rather junky and I would not recomned it Like I do the FP line. Its a shame sony no longer makes CRT's, it's one of the few things they were really good at.

Envision aka AOC makes decent stuff. Costco carries em. Not as good as NEC though.

Unfortunately there is no FP 19" line. And Diamond Pro is still the best. Too bad Mitsubishi and NEC can't get along anymore.

I have a costco membership and saw those, they were a bit fuzzy when compaired to a trinitron.

View NEC/Mitsubishi Products by series

Just look for a Monitor that has Multisync Capabilities.
