It's not a voting option, it's a t-shirt.

I really don't want to deal with contacts
🙁
I thought the same thing. I had glasses but I didnt like the hassle of them and my whole vision wasnt clear (around the lens)
I got contacts and it is like a new world.
MUUUUCCCH better.
at first you are probably going to hate it bc ur not used to putting things in ur eye and shit like that, but within 4 days I was didnt flinch at all and by 1 week I can put them in with 1 try and 1 try to take em out.
its so easy. take em out and put them in the case with the liquid.
I guess I'll happily live in ignorance of the benefits of contacts then
😉
I see my gf get bothered by hers on a fairly consistent basis. I have had some minor eye trouble in the past and I think contacts might aggravate the issue (in my completely uninformed opinion).

Why don't you change your name to John Lennon???
YES. Now you have to grow your beard and hair out.
Is this better?

WTF you went from white boy to Indian call center guy!

I don't think I have my terrible Indian accent down enough to really pull that off

Wow, I'm very surprised. Everyone I've ever known has gotten their license at 16. I always pictured you as one of those traveling AV freelance calibration guys. No license or cell phone? Wow. I don't think I've ever "known" anyone as smart as you without a license.
What about your social life growing up during periods without girlfriends?

Well there you go

My social life?
Well... I had a girlfriend from age 18 to 22. Started going out with my current girlfriend at age 22. (I might be off by one year on those, I don't feel like really figuring it out).
But yeah, I had a girlfriend at 18 despite looking like I did in that picture #4
😉
Prior to that, my social life involved hanging out with some similarly nerdy friends I've had since 3rd grade. From 1st grade through 5th grade my friends were all girls. (Didn't think I was going to go this far back, did you?) That was probably because I really haven't been very interested in competitive sports my entire life.
So 3rd grade through 8th grade was basically hanging out with "the weirdos" as we called ourselves. Activities involved playing with our 80s / 90s toys (transformers, construx, legos, dinosaurs / Jurassic Park, etc.)... then we evolved (or regressed I guess) to role playing our favorite television series including Star Trek TNG. I was usually Riker.
That actually stuck with me for Halloween 😛
Eventually that progressed into LAN gaming with Star Craft, Total Annihilation, Command & Conquer, MechWarrior3, Counterstrike, etc.
In the summer between 8th grade and 9th grade, I went to "Summer Science Academy", which was basically taking an accelerated version of the Freshman science courses so I could start Sophomore level classes in 9th grade. One of our group of "weirdos" was a girl and she had a couple of female friends that went to the Science Academy as well. This was probably my first real social interactions that weren't completely nerdy
😉
We would go to class in the morning and in the early afternoon after they let out, we'd have 6 people (3 girls, 3 guys) to hang out together at each others houses.
5 out of 6 of us lived within easy walking distance of the school (within 2.5 miles), so we'd walk there and hang out. By the end of the summer, I realized that I had been a complete bonehead and not noticed the obvious signs that one of those girls was interested in me. I was pretty much in the mindset that I was a very unattractive and socially awkward person (which was probably true), so I didn't think a female human would possibly be attracted to me on any level
😉
Anyway, I blew that chance and spent the next couple years hanging out with a slightly different crowd... but there were still high levels of nerdness going on. I didn't go out on any dates. I was asked out to both Junior and Senior prom by a girl and went to those. My senior year of HS, my sister thought I should go out with one of her friends. My sister is 18 months younger than me, so her friends were just 1 year behind me in school.
Oh, I should point out that I took "Senior Kindergarten" (K5) twice. I don't know the details, but I assume that since I was on the edge of the age cutoff, my parents decided that it would be better for me to be oldest in the class rather than one of the youngest?
Ok, so I went to my first gf's Junior prom when I was a senior and we hit it off (or so I guess we did... since I had no experience). We started going out and that ended up being a 4.5 year relationship that she ended. She just got married to someone else a week ago.
Here's the lucky guy
I started going out with my current girlfriend about 3-4 months after that one ended and things have been going well for the most part. My gf is probably about equally nerdy as I am. She was in AV club in HS, she was at the same Rube Goldberg engineering competition as I was in HS, she's a star trek fan, she introduced me to some more sci-fi even (stargate SG-1, firefly, etc.), she's smart in a lot of areas, and we both were in the Elementary Education program at Madison.
Ok, so there's my social life.
From age 16-18 I had no car. I probably could have used one... I just didn't feel very motivated to get one. I didn't think I had girlfriend prospects, or I might have felt more motivated. Several of my friends didn't get there licenses either, which reduced the "peer pressure" effect dramatically. My sister still doesn't have a license either (she's 24).
My parents have been very accepting and supportive of my decisions to be "different". I guess as long as I brought the grades in at school, they didn't really care what my social life was like. My mother cried when I told her I got two A-'s my senior year of HS. I graduated with only a 3.982 rather than the 4.0 I was supposed to get...
(A- in AP English and "Challenge Seminar")
From age 18 to now, I've only had a 3-4 month window when I didn't have a gf with a car. That's been the main reason I haven't been motivated to get one over the years.
Ok, there's your long answer for you
😉
