I stopped carrying my purse lately - got so sick of angling my entire body one way to compensate for the weight, adjusting the effing shoulder strap every 2 minutes, having the back hit my leg and impede walking, etc.

But when I did: wallet, hat, skullcap, gloves, dumb-phone, UV beads, ziploc bag.

Work laptop & charger

iPhone charger
Various notepads, papers and pens
Flash drives
Earplugs
Camera

"Compensate for the weight"? "Adjusting shoulder strap"? Did you wear the strap on the same side shoulder, and why? That stuff weighs nothing, you shouldn't even notice you have the bag on as long as you have your hand and head through the strap.

I want a much smaller, purse-size bag. I hate having to carry anything in my pockets, and have a shoulder bag with me 24/7, but when I don't have my Air or notebooks a very small bag would be enough. Plus, the "purse" should be allowed into bars, unless the doormen are dicks (in which case I don't want to go anyway).

"Over the shoulder" wearing of the strap impedes breathing, and my leg rubs/hits the bag every time I take a step. Bad for distance walking, and I do at least 5 Km a day, so ugh... I could bring the strap up high enough that it's practically on my back and it only hits my ass, but then I'd look like a tool, so I may as well carry a backpack.

Does this count?

I don't carry a bag, although people keep giving me laptop bags as if they think I must own a laptop for some reason.

In my pockets I have:

Phone
Wallet
Keys
Knife

pockets - keys, phone, wallet

next closest thing i have is my motorcycle backpack - goalie jerseys, goalie gloves, shinguards, etc (for soccer games)

Wallet: Credit Cards, Driverse License and my Costco card

Backpack: Laptop, power brick, headphones, multiple iphone/ipad charging cords, international power adapter, passport, ipad, condoms and a bottle opener.

My "murse" is a fanny pack I carry around by the strap (looks only semi-gay) and holds my phone, two pair of glasses, a pocket knife, flash drive, my wallet and sometimes an iPod and shades. I used to have all that crap stuffed into pockets, but soon it became apparent that was just not going to work anymore.
