Don't take politicians at their words. Look only at actions.
I'm guessing that this doesn't apply to birth certificates or e-mails.

Dems came out with their own cost analysis today. They came to $70B lol.
http://www.vox.com/policy-and-politics/2017/4/18/15346748/trump-wall-cost-70-billion-democrats
Creditable estimates right after the election went as high as $50B.
Who knows the exact price, but clearly Trump's promises were bullshit. It went from "Mexico will pay for it" to "it will cost several multiples of NASA's annual budget."
that $70B is probably the closest to reality. Trump sees a beautiful wall as a bunch of metal and cement, what he doesn't account for is all the technology and upkeep that a modern fence would have.
the entire idea of a wall from one coast to the other was stupid to begin with.
"best deal"Rome was not built in a day. We have to negotiate to get the best deal and make sure the work is done by legally employed individuals.
Check back in a year.![]()
I cannot believe we are discussing this. Even if there was infinite money in the US coffer's, we shouldn't build that dumbass wall. Its not even a technically feasible feat given that our border is often river, canyon, mountains, and a crap ton of private property.the entire idea of a wall from one coast to the other was stupid to begin with.
"best deal"
lol, that's rich, drumpf negotiating skills were exposed with the ahca.
I was going to post a wall of drumpf quotes talking about how he said the wall would be started by such and such a date, but to drumpf-fluffers like you, facts and the truth are beyond your comprehension and acknowledgement.
So instead, here's an animated gif

I'm curious how much all the eminent domain lawsuits will cost us.
Could probably have several Martian rover missions for the waste of time The Wall will buy us.
Not really a fan of David Frum, but this is hilarious:

I'm reminded of the scene from Blazing Saddles. It's like watching a crazy person hold a gun to their own head and proclaim "I've got a hostage!".

This is an idiotic deal. Who would ever take that? Why is it even on the table?
Trump is offering Dems the chance to:
-Look dysfunctional by shutting down a govt he has complete control of
-Make a broken promise and waste of money a front and center issue
-Be left with no choice other than look weak, cave, and/or get blamed for sabotaging healthcare, which is another broken promise he is already fucking up badly
What's next? Threaten to release naked photos of Ivanka he took himself?
This is the same sort of nonsensical hostage taking that Republicans tried with the debt ceiling. 'Give me policy concessions or I will cause a nationwide catastrophe'. If Democrats have a brain in their collective heads they will categorically refuse all offers like that. If Trump wants to inflict suffering on millions of Americans in order to try and build a pointless wall that's his choice but he shouldn't expect democrats to help.
What's funny and sad is that it appears Trump really thinks these 'tough' negotiating tactics are going to be effective when what he really seems to be showing is that he's clueless. Remember with health care he said 'take it or leave it, I'm done negotiating'? They left it and what did he do? Came crawling back.
"Isn't anybody going to help that poor man?"

It seems Trump still thinks that governing is the same as business. That threats against a single person's livelihood somehow translate 1:1 in effectiveness when attempting to threaten representatives for complex policy and funding for hundreds of millions of people across the country.
This guy really is the fucking brainless idiot that we all knew he was, and it's fascinating watching his nuthuggers refuse to come to the same realization that government is not business....but decades of dickle down economics being force-fed down their gullets as the only solution to everything is a tough wall to break for these numbskulls.
