"Beautiful" by Christina Aguilera is my most hated song of all time, full stop. I have literally been reduced to a screaming rage by that song coming on, and that's not hyperbole played for comedic effect.

Radiohead. any of it. i do not care for it.

Any miley or bieber or gaga or actually most music past 2001.

You understand that miley and bieber are largely hated on?

Pick something with more gumption. Something that people who have an actual opinion on music think is good, rather than the cop-out answer "whatever crap those rascals are listening to today!" that most in this thread gave.

Hypocritically, I have no answer to the OP's question, since I like most music 😳

Him along with his fellow mumbler Bruce Springsteen.

Speaking of Dylan, I really can't stand any of that folksy protest music from the 60s and early 70s. Crosby-Still-Nash, Neil Young, Janis Joplin, Joan Baez, Arlo Gurthrie, Willie Nelson. Whenever Janis Joplin pops up on Classic Vinyl, nothing makes me change the station faster. She was just an awful musician. I have no idea why she became so celebrated.

BAN...and to all those who agree with anything in this post.

Any song popular enough to be recognizable by most posters is going to be terrible. Not just 'because it's popular,' but because people are terrible and like terrible things.

Mild exception for maybe 1-5% of rock that makes it onto 'hard rock' radio stations. Avenged Sevenfold is all I can really think of that might be from this decade. Some similar listenable stuff in the 2000's. Soundgarden and similar alt-rock in the 90's. The 80's are made of terrible and warrant the invention of a time machine so that they can be nuked from orbit.

So, yeah, most music is terrible, is the point I'm making, I guess. But not because I'm just so damned hipster-cool.

Born to be Wild, Brown Sugar.

As for bands, REM and Springsteen. I never understood the appeal of either.

I'm going to go in a different direction for most hated song.

The National Anthem. Well, not when it's sung correctly. But every singer that screeches that song, making it about themselves by displaying how long they can hold a high note, how many different notes they can hit in one word, etc.. I say, for the half time show, we line up a couple of veterans who have fought for this country, march the singer out onto the 50 yard line, and execute him/her by firing squad.

That Umbrella song by Rhiana. One of the WORST songs I have ever heard

I'm convinced that some songwriters got together and made a bet that none of them could write a popular song with the word "umbrella" in the chorus. One of them won that bet, and the entire US populace lost.

Shit from Avenged Sevenfold. I can't understand why people like them, this coming from a metalhead

The players are skilled, but my god the "style" and the vocalist/writing/music are all so goddamn terrible.

They try so hard to be "metal" that its just laughably bad.

If you go into it with the mindset that they aren't metal, it's pretty enjoyable. City of Evil and their self-titled album were fantastic. I'm not a big fan of screamo, so their first two albums aren't that appealing.

That last two albums were utter garbage. RIP Rev - he was the brains behind the whole operation.

This one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nSS0wtjrm1U

Say what you need to say, say what you need to say, say what you need to say, say what you need to say, say what you need to say, say what you need to say, say what you need to say, say what you need to say, say what you need to say, say what you need to say, say what you need to say, say what you need to say, say what you need to say, say what you need to say, say what you need to say, say what you need to say, say what you need to say, say what you need to say....

Definitely this! Anytime I hear this song I wish I could slap the shit out of whoever sings it.
