What year produced the best movies?

Is there anything that can top 1994?

Shawshank Redemption, Forrest Gump, Leon the Professional, Pulp Fiction, and Lion King.

I'm too lazy to try and top that, but I agree that was definitely a good year for movies. 4 of my all time favs.

How...?

I just haven't gotten around to seeing Shawshank Redemption, Pulp Fiction and Lion King* didn't sound worthwhile, and I've never heard of Leon the Professional.

Pulp Fiction

Overrated film by an overrated director. You're not missing out on anything.

i now loathe you

Not nearly as much as I loathe Quentin Tarantino. 😛

Jacky Brown > Kill Bill 1/2 and Pulp Fiction.

fixed. and yeah, i said it 🙂

1939, easily.

Gore with the Wind
Wizard of Oz
Mr. Smith Goes to Washington
Stagecoach (John Wayne's first big movie)
Wuthering Heights

All 5 list on the AFI list of 100 greatest movies of all time. Gone with the Wind and The Wizard of Oz are two of the greatest films of all time, and both were made in the same year.
