About 2-3 times a year, the National Kidney Foundation sends out fliers asking for donations. I just put your donations outside(in front of my garage) and mark them. They drive around and pick up the stuff. I keep a log of everything I give, and they provide a receipt.

Easy way for me to donate and it helps my tax liability.

Backup to two years ago, I put some items out for donation. A person(minister) who lives down the street, knocked on my door and said that a single mother from church could really use the tv I had out for donation. She asked if she could have it for the single mother. I agreed as it wasn't that big of a deal.

Fast forward two months, they have a yard sale(they have about 6 yard sales a year it seems). I notice a tv out for sale at their yard sale. Now I couldn't be sure it was my tv but it definitely was the same size and maker. Now keep in mind this was a personal yard sale, not a yard sale at the church. I decide that I can't be sure of anything so I give them the benefit of the doubt.

3 months ago, we put out a whole bunch of stuff for donation for the Kidney Foundation. It was CLEARLY marked. There was no mistaking who it was for. It was placed on my property right outside my garage door. This weekend they had another yard sale. My wife comes back from the grocery store and said she saw her roller blades at the yard sale. These were 10 year old, ugly as sin, hot pink roller blades. There they were out for donation. So this minister is taking the stuff I put out for donation and is turning around and selling at their yard sales.

I mean, sh*t, do they think I won't notice they are selling my crap 4 houses up the road?

So I am thinking about putting out my next donation pile and marking it even more clearly, taking pictures of the clear marking, then filming the idiot come steal my crap. Yes the stuff is just out on my driveway but it would be one thing if some jackass was stealing my crap, but it is just too classless, to come up steal my crap and try to sell it right down the road from me.

Would the police even give a crap, if I had the person stealing it on camera?

Cliffs:
I put out stuff for donation(Kidney Foundation)
Minister up the road steals my crap
Minister has yard sales to sell my crap
Minister profits

What would you do?

Yeah but if I am going to bust her, I want the police to care......

I am thinking that maybe I could film her, post on youtube, then somehow inform her congregation

do it and tape it. then send tape to local news. or ask to show a video for everyone at the church saying its something great about the man.

Does the minister assist in running the Kidney Foundation? Does the Kidney Foundation take the stuff, then sell it for money?

find something more worth while to do with your time?
are you really that bored?

are aren't even a lifer yet, after five years
spend more time posting and less time spying on peoples

Why all the pussy footing around?

Just go knock on his door and tell him straight up that the stuff you put in front of your garage is a donation intended for another party and that you dont think its particularly neighborly that the donations wind up in his tag sale.

The profits of the crap you don't want is going to benefit the church. Why the hell would you care about the garbage that you have not interest in?

No it's not. Did you read the OP?

Wow, some ethics from a minister..what a skank. I think it's time for a few rock
shrimp down the defroster intake, this greedy bitch has some bad karma coming,
make it happen..

'They' is used without decent description.

Regardless of the circumstance you're pissed off about an old TV and rollerblades (an your other garbage) that is probably worth less than $53.00.

If you have a problem with religion just make a simple post.

Simply confronting this lady about swiping your items for the Kidney Foundation would be a lot quicker, easier and get better results than setting up a Dateline sting in your driveway. If you're not comfortable showing up at her front door, wait for the next sale, find some of your stuff, start asking a bunch of questions, and let her know what the deal is. How neighborly you want to be about it is up to you.

I don't have a problem with religion, but I have a problem with a minister misrepresenting her intentions as being charitable when she is seeking personal gain.

Are you mentally deficient? No, don't answer that. I already know the answer.

Edit: "They" is not used without decent description. He made it very clear that it was not a church yard sale but a personal yard sale.
