cliffs
1. I walk into Hollister to buy some jeans.
2. I try on a pair and stick my hand in the pocket to push them down.
3. There was a broken sensor in the pocket, but it was the broken part that has the needle sticking out.
4. I get cut and start bleeding quite a bit. I ask someone for a rag and wrap my finger.
5. Management ignores the situation and does not fill out a report or anything. He was a very young guy who seemed like he just wanted to get home asap.
Now I am not sure if they are supposed to do anything but whenever I have seen a person get hurt in a business, the manager or owner makes an effort to at least ask them how they are doing. Id say 80% of the time, the person has gotten something comped.
Now I am not looking for a payday here or anything for that matter. But I think its unprofessional and don't want this to happen to anyone else.
Now that I think about it, I hope the pin wasnt dirty.
Should I contact the district manager or corporate? Should I just let it go?
*Update*
I just got a response via email with an apology and they want me to call them tomorrow. This should be interesting.
*2nd Update*
I ended up calling customer service and explained the situation to them about 2 weeks ago.
They were very helpful and said what happened was not correct procedure and the issue would be forwarded to corporate.
Yesterday I recieved a message from the liability division of the insurance co. who represents Abercrombie. I will call them back on monday and see what is going on.
will update on Mon.
