Out of curiosity, and the current upgrades I'm doing to my server, I had an idea for a decent poll. So let's see how this one goes...

Serve out 1/3 of the files I normally do.

Woops, thought this was about bandwidth.

Install every game. And by the way, why the fvck would you want to go DV to avi when DV to MPEG2 is such better quality/compression.

flacs and movies and work backups

have 1.2 TB in the fileserver atm, and 380 in the workstation. Also have 3 more 250 GB drives in the drawer waiting on a raid 5 card to be combined with an already installed 250 for a 750 GB flac drive.

I'd complain that I was missing 500GB from my 2TB setup.

Oh, and I use it to hold all my DVDs and music, which comes in handy as I travel between school, home, and work.

Well, I just got the RAID controller (BroadCom 4852 8-port SATA for $365), plus 7 250gb hd's for a 1.5 TB RAID 5 array @ $125 each. So, $1240.

I would download as many korean dramas as I can and save it on the HD. Never again would I have to resort to burning series on DVD+R's. WEeeeeee

7 250GB drives?

I'd go with 4 400GB drives.

Because working with AVI is a bit easier in most programs. But other than that, I don't know...
