I would hope Americans are so totally disgusted with this Bush that any future Bush will be rejected.
If Jeb tries to do to the US what he has done to Florida, well, God help us.
Jeb will not be a candidate. There's too much baggage with the Bush name right now in the country. Even some GOP politicians are trying to distance themselves from the presidency to ensure their own reelection.

He might try after the next 2 terms specially if the next president is a democrat and turns out to be a failure - or US gets another 911 style attack in his presidency.

The other thing to remember is that he lost a lot of credibility in the Schaivo case. Majority Americans were against Govt interference in that private matter and we all know the lengths to which Jeb went. Yeah he might have won the fundamental right but he lost the majority.

A successful Democrat? can those 2 words be used in a sentence together?

Now that was funny!!

Hahahaha

Ok seriously Clinton was not great, but he was good and he was a success... I shouldn't have to mention JFK as well, before he got shot. And who knows, if Nixon had been elected the first time we might not be here. So I don't think it is fair for you to say that considering the failure we have in office now, and thats what he is no matter how you cut it, he's a failure.

If you keep your partisan view aside you would see 2 things
1. There have been successes and failures from both parties. LcarsSystem has posted some examples. There are many others. Frankly when Bush became president it appeared he would neither be a great success or failure - sort of a plodder who wouldl just bide his time. Today most people I talk to consider him to be a failure. The next one could be anything - we don't know yet.
2. I didn't use the words successful and democrat together in any sentence in my post. Next time try reading before you burst out in print.

I wouldn't do anything. Now, if he ACTUALLY WON.......I would sob uncontrollably at the stupidity of Americans to be fooled a third time into voting for a Bush.

"There's an old saying in Tennessee?I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee?that says, fool me once, shame on?shame on you. Fool me?you can't get fooled again."

I have voted for both bushes but do not believe in dynasties. So would probably vote against him in primaries.

Tommy, you really think they are brave enough to march Hillary out there?

What kind of asshole would vote for another Bush? If it was between Hilary and Jeb I would just write in another candidate so I wouldn't be responsible for electing either of those piss poor candidates..

:D They tried Kerry.

Seriously, I just don't see them coming up with anyone else. They are going to hope for a "anything but GOP" vote and in the end... they will lose. IMO, all Jeb has to do is get the nomination and not kill any orphans and he'll win.

If I see the same happen again... F' it... I am not gonna waste my time.

Sad thing is, one of them WILL be elected, no matter what. Even if only like 1,000 people vote, someone will still get elected.

You're crazy. The odds of Jeb getting elected are increadibly remote unless something dramatic happens. The Bush name is poison politically on a national level right now, and the whole dynasty issue argument would hold alot of weight with voters. Hillary could still beat him easily, and a more likely Democratic Presidential candidate such as Mark Warner would win in a landslide.

I don't think so. Kerry would crush Jeb, the big reason Bush won is the old saw about not changing horses mid-stream. People were unsure because of the threat of terrorism, and Bush was a constant who seemed to be doing an ok job of things (as measured by total number of countries invaded at least). Next time around we're going to have two new candidates, there is no "War president" record to fall back on.

I really would've thought the same thing after George I's reign.

We have the exact same problems now. A President who doesn't care about the lives of average people.
