2 countries, first one to attack the other gets 24 hours notice and becomes a parking lot.

Cut off all US aid to Israel. When the Israelis have to pay for the maintenance of their apartheid state all by their lonesome, maybe they'll find a path to negotiation.

So the Aid to the Palestinians will be cut off as well? (from other Israel hating countries)
Works for me. But don't pretend the situation is symmetrical. There is only one power in Israel and that is Israel. As the sovereign it is the Israeli government's responsibility to all the peoples under its rule to find a just peace.

You have three options
1) Send the Jews back to Europe/Iran/Wherever they came from
2) Send the arabs (there's no such thing as a "palestinian" they are all arabs) to Jordan or assign them a country
3) Status quo, live in bloodshed

In other words, there's no "solution"

4. quite holding everyone back and let them fight it out, winner takes all.

Interesting premise you have there...

The premise that Israels founders used terrorism against the peoples in the area where they wanted land.. care to refute it

Israels founders (Zionists) also murdered the first UN Peacekeeper who came to the region to try and bring peace.. Zionists don't want peace if it limits them

How long ago was this war that gave them extra land? Have they taken any more than that since then.. unjustly?

^^ American citizens get pissed off when someone parks too close to their car.. .but you think Palestinians should kiss Israeli ass even after LAND gets stolen??

You have no ability to think outside your borders or culture?

So what about all the Arabs there who aren't Palestinian? Most aren't what about them? They're just trouble starters, maybe they should all leave so the Israelies can deal with the Palestinians they actually moved in next to.

Exodus to the US, the real promised land. Fairy tales aside, nowhere have the Jews been as safe and prospered as much as in the US.

They own the USA.. . Iraq war was 100% for Israel's safety and security..

I wouldn't go that far. There is a geopolitical neocon hubris that lead to Iraq. Israel policy is more of a symptom of that than the cause.

You would be suprised what Israel was able to accomplish militarily before we decided to aid them and help them.

The bottom line....somebody would help them.....
Yet I would venture to say if we were not helping them there would be no Palestinian issue.
Mainly because as it is they have been holding back knowing full well we would help. As if they truly need our help....they don`t!!

You do not understand the history of that region...

The assassins were members of Lehi (Lohamei Herut Israel—Fighters for the Freedom of Israel), better known as the Stern Gang. Its three leaders had decided a week earlier to have Bernadotte killed because they believed he was partial to the Arabs. One of those leaders was Yitzhak Shamir, who in 1983 would become prime minister of Israel.1

Bernadotte had been chosen the United Nations mediator for Palestine four months earlier in what was the U.N.'s first serious attempt at peacemaking in the post-World War II world. As a hero of the war, when his mediation efforts on behalf of the International Red Cross saved 20,000 persons, including thousands of Jews, from Nazi concentration camps, Bernadotte seemed a natural choice for the post.2 The terms of the mediator's mandate were to "promote a peaceful adjustment of the future situation in Palestine" and to allow him to mediate beyond the terms of the Partition Plan.3

It had been only on Nov. 29, 1947 that the U.N. General Assembly had voted to partition Palestine into Arab and Jewish states. Yet, as had been widely predicted, that action had led to war. Fighting intensified after elements of five Arab armies moved into Palestine the day after Israel proclaimed its establishment on May 14, 1948. Bernadotte's first action had been to arrange a truce, which lasted from June 11 to July 9.

During the lull, Bernadotte had put forward his first proposal for solving the conflict. Instead, it was to seal his fate. Bernadotte's transgression, in the view of Jewish zealots, was to include in his June 28 proposal the suggestion that Jerusalem be placed under Jordanian rule, since all the area around the city was designated for the Arab state.4 -- that would never happen@!! The Jerusalem issue is a touchy one at best!!

Let's hear it. I imagine JediYoda would like it at least.
-- actually I also believe there should be a seperate Palestinian state.
But in my opinion the Palestinians have to honestly want that to happen, as does fatah and Hamas....and the other Arabs states.

I have a question for anyone (except the usual bad posters) who would like to answer:

When has a similar situation been resolved reasonably well, and how?

When I say 'similar', I mean a situation with something on common so that the solution there might be useful.

Drop a 100 ton tungsten rod on Jerusalem from orbit. Nothing to fight over.

Seriously though, just stop American aid to Israel, including their vote in the UN Security council. Then Israel will actually have to be a good neighbour instead of running to daddy whenever its in trouble for being a bully.
