There is one case discussed in detail in the version I have. It does not claim the man was cured. (that claim cannot be made without getting sued by the FDA). What it does state is this:
a) man had HIV
b) man begins to get very sick, goes to dr. Dr. tells him "if there is anything you want to do before you die, do it now"
c) man goes on world trip he always wanted to do
d) man lives with natives, eats a diet of mostly coconut.... notices he is gradually feeling better
e) puts on significant weight and muscle
f) returns home... tests can't find a measurable amount of HIV in his blood
g) man was still alive as of the edition of the book I read. He eats coconut with almost every meal.


The book does go into enough detail to understand how lauric acid works. It's not on the level of a chemistry, pre-med, or biology major, but it gives plenty of info for the lay man.

Some research has been done. Unfortunately those doctors are fighting against a well established stigma. I can try to answer your questions, but I think it'd be worthwhile to spend the $10 to $15 to buy the book and read it. It'll give you way more information than I can type and you'll have all of it's sources referenced for you. If you are at all curious, it's worth your time.

The lady who runs this site and has her blog on there (Regan) was on GMA and a couple of other news shows. She has had HIV for over 10 years now. Her story is pretty interesting. Apparently HIV / Aids is on the rise among the general population in the US among women, teens and the elderly.

Some research has been done. Unfortunately those doctors are fighting against a well established stigma. I can try to answer your questions, but I think it'd be worthwhile to spend the $10 to $15 to buy the book and read it. It'll give you way more information than I can type and you'll have all of it's sources referenced for you. If you are at all curious, it's worth your time.

very interesting stuff, i thought i was pretty well-exposed to AIDS and most of its applicable developments (working in biopharma) but I've never heard of this. Going to try to pick the book up at a local library if possible.
