I had 2 hours of warranty left from newegg on my GFX, My GFX card has a problem, a defect/failure now I paid $346 for this card(6800gt) They do not have any 6800GTs on there website. What will they do?

I think they are going to give me a price equivalent Video card

This one

is the only one that?s is the highest priced one that fits my 346 budget.

What do you think they would do?

The cardis defective it has had this problem for 2 months I ram'ed my mobo b/c I tought that was the problem and now I got it back it still has the same problem.

Newegg can not null my warranty b/c I got it 2 hours before it ended. It is well with in the time they state on there site. it does not say 2 hours before the warranty expirers you may not request an rma.

Update

Here is a messege I recived from newegg.

However, we cannot answer your questions directly this time. Once your return arrived, but this particular item is out of stock, we will contact you in a timely manner regarding to the issue. If it is possible, you will be presented with a comparable replacement and/or the current market value of the RMA item. If we do not have a comparable substitute to offer at this time, rather than keep you waiting until we receive another shipment, we will refund your original payment source. We apologize if this inconveniences you in any way. Since this is determined by our RMA department after they inspected your returned item, we cannot guarantee what kind of comparable item we will offer you or how much we will refund you. We must inspect your return firstly.

In addition, please kindly note that all accessories that were included with the item should be returned to us. Since we are not in the position of RMA issue, I have forwarded the information to our RMA department to see if we can make an exception to process this RMA without the accessories. Please kindly note that we can also not get the RMA service from the manufacture without the accessories. Once I received the feedback, I will keep you up-dated. For your reference, you may also contact XFX at 800-255-8048 or visit their website at http://www.xfxgraphics.com/ for further assistance. They will be more able to assist you with the replacement.

We thank you for your understanding and patience.

If you have any further questions or concerns, please visit our FAQs page.

Thank you,

Now what shuold I do send it to XFX and then I am 100% sure I get a 6800gt back or should I go with newegg, thus being if they dont have a comparable card they refund all my money. But they could have one but it could be a 6800xt wich is less then my card.

What should I do, send to xfx or neweeg

It has a power up issue and I have to wait 10 MIN with it unplugged to get it to show video, I can do it with XFX I got lifetime warranty but Newegg is much faster and I have a huge chance of getting a better one

I think your trying to scam newegg, and if they are smart they'll tell you to blow it out your ass and RMA it to XFX yourself. That or they'll go out of their way to find you a replacement 6800GT which may only run them $100 from another retailer.

In other words, don't get your hopes up.

You're certainly not entitled to a "price equivalent" card, only to a "feature equivalent" card.

Newegg offers excellent customer service, but it sounds like you're hoping to abuse that.

Don?t worry they can afford it and I don?t do it often I will try what I can. And they have to honor there warranty even if its 10min before it ends. Or we will sue, if they want to test the card they can try, there warranty states "within one year of the original invoice date for a replacement." I am well within that. My card is defective and that?s it. But I can still try.

I think you should go back to school.

First take an ethics course, then take a course in English grammar.

EDIT: Oh, and they will just RMA it through XFX for you, so it will take even longer.

You will sue over $300? Apparently you have never sued someone/something before. It isn't that simple.

Noticing a problem with your card 10 mins before the "warranty" is up has fraud written all over you.

If you want a new card buy one. If you want a replacement 6800GT I have one I am willing to get rid of at a reasonable price.

You do realize Newegg can probably source a refurb'd 6800GT card from XFX.

It's fraud because the only reason you are doing it is because you think you are going to get a $300 video card for your $90 video card.

In your dreams.

I hope you get slapped with the banstick.

I don't know how good neweggs support is but if I was them I would give you something alongs the line of a 7600GT since thats a little faster and cheaper. They shouldn't send a $300 card for a card that is only worth about $120 used tops. I just don't see it happening. I am sure if they had to they could get a new one from XFX to send to you.

Not correct, it may be unethical but it's within the RMA period and he hasn't done anything to void the warranty. As such it is NOT fraud.

If its legit it might not be fraud but does this not sound like fraud?

No, that sounds like it's on very dodgy ethical grounds, and possibly an admission that he'd committed it before, but not fraud. Sloppy use of language is a terrible thing in every case.

Right, and your card just happened to break 10 min before your warranty ended... That was a pretty unreliable card. ;)

The card has had this problem for already 2 months, I posted to problem, and no one game me an a answer of what?s wrong so I RMA'ed the mobo about 4 weeks ago and just got it back, then I tried a new video card and found out that my video card was the problem it was 1 am here so I went to new egg to see if I can exchange it thru them since they would be faster to RMA then any other company. So all I am saying is do I have a chance at all its probably slim but I am going to make sure the replacement is no less, before I send it. If they can give me a 7600gt then that would be good, and upgrade would be good, but if they just give me a 6800gt its still just as good. It Just cant be any less.

My card is defective

Newegg does not provide a warranty for any products they sell. They handle your RMA with the vendor on some products, however if you read their website they can change that policy at anytime.

Or we will sue

Please, that is the most overused and hollow statement that people make. I guess it is our society.

I don't know if your card is really defective or if you a trying to find a way to get a newer card. However, I find it very fishy that your card is broke within two hours of your warranty ending with Newegg.

All I know is you are my DNT list if you ever start buying/selling here.

You realize that now with you wasting time here your warranty which you claim is "2 hours from ending" is now at an end and you have no warranty either expressed or implied through newegg.com or any of it's affiliates. Now it's up to xfx to exchange or repair the defective product at their disgression.
