Not to crap the thread with reality, but I seriously doubt that Jesus would own a car. He may drive from time to time, and when necessary for travel may ride in a car, but that would be about it.

Heyzeus is Amish? :Q
:p
No, I don't think Jesus is anti-technology. I simply think that He would only use technology when necessary and not abuse it. He would travel by car only when necessary. He would not own a car because He felt that people should not idolize possessions. Just my $0.02
I've seen pictures of Jesus riding asses. Weren't those the SUVs of their day?
More like the non-status, super-practical vehicle of their day, like a Kia or something.
The greater debate about Jesus riding an ass was that the King of Israel/Judah historically (from Saul's time) rode an ass because horses represented war and riding an ass represented peace. So when Jesus entered Jerusalem riding an ass on the first day of Passover, in a ceremony traditional to the King....

No, no, that's Jebus' dad.

I don't know what's worse... a bad joke, or someone who makes another bad joke building on top of it attempting to be funny.

nik

Or when someone tries to add onto an insult by somehow involving the insultee's gay sorta-famous brother that I've never heard of in one way or another. ;) :D

Jesus Christ, you bastards!

An Aston Martin. Why? Because:

1) It's hand made. Jesus would appreciate the craftsmanship and time put into building these babies.
2) Aston Martin = Perfection = Jesus
3) Hey, wonderboy's gotta get laid somehow, an Aston Martin is a sure ticket ;) :D

Seriously, he picked the transportation modes of the day that were popular in the First Century.

Mostly he walked. He also rode by horse or donkey.

It is written that he had no possessions except his clothes.

So . . . extrapolating to today . . . he wouldn't own a car but would be popular enough to get "rides", borrow a disciples' car, or use public transportation or walk.

Not true. During His mortal life, Jesus had living relatives, worked as a carpenter, and lived in the city of Nazareth.
The question is: would He have ever borrowed on or used credit? Judging by the treatment He gave the money-changers, I would say no.

*RING-RING!*

Hello?

Mike, it's Jesus.

OH! Um, hello Lord...how may I serve you?

Hey, I need a ride into town.

Well, Lord as a matter of fact I was just....

You were going to take a shower and go out to eat...I know, Mike.

Um, okay Jesus, I guess I'll...

You will pick me up in 15 minutes...I know, Mike.

Um, Lord, if you've got it can you...

Yes Mike, I'll give you some gas money...I know you're on empty.

Bwuahahahahaha!! Best thread today.

WORSE than that. How about an "eternal" beating? :D

Seriously, he was a TEACHER with mad skillz. Teachers DO deserve some compensation, right?

Well, there were other forms of transportation available besides walking, such as riding a horse or donkey or something (Ferraris in Jesus' time). I'm not certain, but I don't think the Bible mentions Jesus riding horses or donkies much. So, I bet he'd walk! Of course, he would never need to drive, because there would be enough Christians around to drive him...or the Pope could lend his Pope Mobile!

C'mon now. If Jesus really was an omnipotent diety, why wouldn't he just fly, or better, just beam himself where ever he wanted to go? Respect for the laws of physics was never a high priority of his.

Yeah, except the question wasn't how would Jesus travel, it was what would he drive. He might want to drive a vehicle sometime, instead of the more practical flying/teleporting. He might be in a parade or get some fast-food at a drive through for instance.

Truck. Big one. Has to tool around town with the apostles and carry the occasional full load of loaves and fishes. Occasional boat hauling is evident as well.
