What would hell really be like?

I see my friend's away message, it says they are bored, so I was going to reply "Welcome to hell" so that got me wondering, what is hell really like? vote above

Voted for the last one. In the Inferno there's this one ring with people walking in a circle. At one point in the circle is a demon with a huge sword that chops people all over the place and inflicts all sorts of horrible wounds while the people walk around. By the time they circle around back to the demon again their wounds are healed and the demon does it again. I wonder what it'd be like to be that demon though, he must run out of ideas on how to cut people up eventually.

it must be the demon's version of hell, running out of ideas to cut people up 😉

According to the Bible, while Hell includes physical torture and pain, nothing compares to the mental pain of being seperated from the Glory of God for all of eternity. On and on and on and on, forever.

OK, so I wonder (if it exists at all) what it's REALLY like?

I experienced it once. I was in a loud, VERY hot, steamy food processing plant, I had a migraine headache, was doing hard physical labor and a pop radio station was playing Whitney Houston, Michael Bolton and some others I've since happily forgotten. It was almost enough to make me religious.

Now I'm an Atheist, so I imagine my view is a bit skewed... but accepting for a minute that Hell actually exists, the whole "fire & brimstone" version doesn't make any sense to me. If the Devil is trying to attract people to his cause and fall under his sway, wouldn't he make Hell more tempting? I imagine Hell would be filled with the desires of bad people (i.e., lots of kids for pedophiles).
