Vacation resort. Satan got bored with torturing people a few thousand centuries ago. Now it's just one big party. All the really interesting people go to Hell anyway.

Now I'm an Atheist, so I imagine my view is a bit skewed... but accepting for a minute that Hell actually exists, the whole "fire & brimstone" version doesn't make any sense to me. If the Devil is trying to attract people to his cause and fall under his sway, wouldn't he make Hell more tempting? I imagine Hell would be filled with the desires of bad people (i.e., lots of kids for pedophiles).
So it'd basically be Heaven then, right? Animals for bestio....philiacs or whatever. Dead people for necrophiliacs. And normal people for normalphiliacs.

i think it'd be a vast nothingness forever... you're just infintely present in a completely blank existence. so, i guess "boredom" is my answer.

however, according to the lead singer of pedro the lion, in the song called "the poison", about hell, he says, "my old man swore that hell would have no flames..... just a front row seat to watch your true love pack her things and drive away."

great song... everyone should listen to it.

I don't think so. The idea with evil is that it's what people want to do anyway. So you trade a fun and exciting life on Earth for a horrible afterlife in Hell. And of course good Christians trade a miserable puritanical existance on Earth for a beautiful, joyous afterlife in Heaven. If you don't believe in an afterlife, though, it's obvious which life you're going to choose...

There's no such thing as "normal". What you consider normal is just whatever you like. That's nonsense.
