what work out music do u listen to?

I've noticed that if you're really looking to go hard, In Flames and Killswitch Engage are pretty good. AFI is also good, along with Muse for a little lower intensity. Death Cab is good for longer, endurance stuff (keeps my mind elsewhere so the boredom doesn't kill me).
 
Fort Minor - Remember the Name and Believe Me. That one Mulan song about fighting the Huns. I'm actually looking for more music myself, I shall check into those SociallyChallenged.

If I'm on the elliptical, I'll often play something electronic like Enigma, Blue Stone, or Balligomingo. The point is to mentally take me somewhere else while I'm running on the thing. During the weightlifting part of the workout, I'm ok with anything upbeat.
 
Nothing. I focus on the workout and only the workout. I consider it mental training. Work outs are only "fun" after they're over (runner's high, feeling badass in general) and/or if they involve other people (pick up game).

If you have enough energy to be bored, you're not working hard enough. 🙂
 
nothing while i lift weights - i need to keep focused and i'd be too afraid to break the mp3 player. audio books when i do cardio (running, biking, elliptical). nothing like a good book to make you forget you're even exerting yourself and to really pass the time quickly.
 
i've been listening to muse, nin (not ghosts, but most of the other albums are good), i used to listen to afi. i need to find more music for this stuff.
 
Usually Heavy Metal when I lift and rock when I do cardio. I have one MP3 player for lifting and one for cardio that I always have in my gym bag.
 
Enslaved, Amon Amarth, Moonsorrow, maybe thrash, sometimes Sigur Ros or Anathema if I´m feeling like being ridicululous.... which is more often than not. But basically epic music that keeps my mind focused on the song progression and changes.
 
I watch this on a loop. I don't actually work out to it but it makes me sweat. 😛

Just kidding. For gym type workouts, I actually listen to fairly upbeat neosoul, trip hop, acid jazz, if I listen to anything at all. For endurance I used to listen to a lot of radiohead, Koop, sigur ros, deeper alt music that puts me in a trance so I didn't think about the boring workout. Other then that I play lots of sports where I can't listen to music.

Does anyone listen to music while they swim?! I saw someone with a waterproof MP3/earbud system the other day and was amazed...
 
I like listening to piano pieces I play/have played in the past. Probably not one's typical workout music playlist but I enjoy it.
