I wouldn't call it "work," but I play poker on the side. Not a ton of money, but I've made enough to pay for a few vacations and some walking-around money.

Pay for vacations?

Doesn't sound like petty cash to me.

I guess over the long-term it adds up, but it's pretty low-stakes poker ($2/3NL or $3/5NL). I play because I enjoy it, but it happens to also be a fairly profitable hobby in the long run.

It's all I do at the moment. Computer building & repair, some minor web and database work, residential networks, minor residential electrical, general labor, safety/security/self-defense instruction, tutoring, some low end poker, and just a touch of writing here and there. Between it all I make enough to survive, and and am able to mostly hold to my own schedule and desires. If I ever land a teaching job I'll be ready for the change however.

CAD detailing. A decent job will take about 3 to 4 hours and I usually net about $700 per job. A couple of those a week pays for all of my "fun" stuff.

Well it did until the economy melt down. Not any side jobs since last October. :frown:

I'm so glad the internet was created so that the masses of slackjawed troglodyte retards, whose proliferation is clearly in defiance of God's will, have a forum to interact with the rest of us to remind us that homo sapiens, despite our intellectual capacity, are not all capable of actual thought. It's humbling, in a way...

You don't win at poker by counting cards... the deck is shuffled after every hand. You can't even make money counting cards at blackjack anymore.

Personally, I manage a chocolate factory manned entirely by female strippers.

And when the shuffling machine is shuffling 12 decks at once, good luck with that counting card thing.

Hey, poster, buy a computer and stop trying to engage in written discussion with your freaking tardberry or ibrick or whatever. This isn't IRC.
