the console gamers are saying — it is only for rich people
the pc gamers are saying — a 'console' can NEVER have 5080 level performance

what do you think ?, given that

1. stand alone GPUs based on AT2 will sell for $600-$700 minimum
2. as xx70xt it should beat or match previous gen xx80 card (5080) in all aspects — raster, RT, RR, PT etc.

If that's the case in a year and a bit's time we could easilly see the BOM go down to say even about say $750 due to cheaper (V)RAM + SSD costs and sell it $999 WW (excluding Sales Taxes/VAT), US will probably have to have it higher due to tariffs/The Donald.
