28.8K dialup
56K dialup
3M/256K cable => something like 4M/384K cable
next we'll probably go for some cheaper DSL

I think there was a system or two that I used that was running 50 baud, but 110 baud was the best around for quite a long time. (I still have my first modem which features both rs-232 and current loop interfaces; you just don't see modern gear supporting current loop any more.) Made the jump to 300 and was happy. 1200 was great. I had a terrific 2400 baud modem that cost $800 and had a large LCD display with all sorts of cool stuff displayed on it. Then I had one of the first USR 9600 baud modems when they came out (I got one for my house and one for Nyx Net's dialup bank). I went through a few more modems since then, but then I moved Nyx into my house and so I have the T1 lines going here and I've been providing 56k service for incoming calls for several years now.

Your posts always crack me up :thumbsup: EDIT: 50 baud!!! :Q

Back to the topic....1200 baud I think, going to 2400 baud, 28.8k, and over the last 2 years Roadrunner has gone from 2/384 to 5/384 for me.

Pretty much used everything in between though, just not mine generally.
