What was your LSAT score?

Orsorum

Lifer
I got a 165. w00t! And all that for not studying more than 3, 4 hours for it.

Now to figure out where I can get in with a 3.25 GPA.

Thinking of taking it. How exactly did you study for it?

I bought a study guide and did some of the practice sections. I winged it, to be honest.

Of course, I do brain teasers for fun, and spend a great deal of my free time reading about mathematics, journalistic articles, etc. So I'm used to logic games and reading comprehension, which is pretty much what it's all about.

Princeton Review or Kaplan? Those are the two I'm considering right now. Any other brands to consider? Reading comprehension is usually a breeze for me. I just need to brush up on logic.

I got the "Master the LSAT" book; it deconstructed the logic games and some of the reading comprehension tactics, which I thought helped.

165 is a great score.... maybe if you studied a bit more you could have broken the 170 mark?

my friend got a 173, and he did study a lot... but he's already accepted to law school so i guess it didn't really matter...

What did you get?

170 and i screwed up the first logic question. put two answers that completely violated the given rules. missed two other questions on that set. musta read the rules wrong. didn't miss any others except that question too, damnit.

Congrats 🙂

I got a 166, but in the practice tests I was getting between 160-166. I messed up the logic games section (only answered half the questions) but still did OK

Perhaps. I didn't really have enough time over the last couple months to study for it. If I don't get into the schools I'm shooting for (UW-Madison, UI-Urbana Champaign, Boston Univ., Tulane, Washington Univ., GMU, among others), then I'll stay for an extra year and raise my GPA to a 3.4, 3.5 if possible, do some more research, do an internship, get more faculty contacts at my undergrad school, etc. If I discover at that point that I still don't stand a good shot, I'll take them over.

Congratulations, Orsorum!

I knew you would do well! 😀

Are thought your result was to be posted tomorrow?

Have you finished your undergrad major? Or is this your last year?

Have you decided that law will be your next pursuit? If so, what school(s) have you considered?
