$2100 from AMEX, I was surprised as hell that I got a CC, before I couldn't get one no matter what.

.... I think it started at $500 or so, now's it's sitting near $14,000 or so. Kinda crazy. I don't use it much but i monitor its activity weekly.

it took me numerous time applying for CCs but get all rejected. i think i spent $20 in stamps and envelops just to send those applications alone. later someone told me it would be harder if you applied for too many CCs at once. so i slowed down and got my first cc through college w/ $500 limit 6 months ago (citibank platinum for student). it s $2000 now.

Mine was $500 back in 1987. Now I have 3 cards with limits of $15000 on one and $20000 on the other 2. I was even sued once when I was in my early 20's. Be good to your credit and your credit will be good to you. :)

A mere 34 days younger than you. That fateful day towards the end of this year is approaching all too quickly, isn't it? (it certainly feels that way to me)

Yep I feel like an old fart.

<--- turns 30 in 3 months :(

Capital One card that i got when I was 15.

current limit is $10K... it's nice to have great credit at 23

meanwhile, I still can't convince my roommate to get his first credit card *shakes his head*

If you were 15 then you were only a card holder the card was in your parents name.

When I was 18 my limmit was 1000.
I am 24 now, the limmit is quite a bit higher. I have never asked for a higher limmit, and I generally pay it off in full every month (I carry a small balance up to a thousand bucks sometimes ... but I don't let myself get into any trouble.)

i was going to answer Discover Card $1300 when i saw this and i remember that my first credit card *ever* was also a Citibank Visa student card with ~$250 limit (this was not in the US, so that value is after a currency conversion). it was also 1994. the card has a picture of me in my college look (long haired, thug-like). :D

Never a good idea, its always good to start up your credit history as soon as possible. Atleast get a card, and stick it in a drawer, you dont have to use it, tho a few times prob wouldnt hurt.

Going to be 17 in November. Don't want one yet.

Don't worry about it, most people don't guess my age correctly :p
