What was your housing plan in college?

right now .. no housing plan.. i move out next week.. and for 3 months in LA and then back to searching for an apartment for fall sem.

One year in dorms, coming up on my second year living off campus. Compared to the $$ value of the dorms, living off campus can't be beat.

at my college which i leave on Sunday, you pretty much had to stay in the dorms/college housing all 4 years, unless you were 1 of the lucky 10% that got "approved" by the college to live off campus based on GPA, discipline record and a few other things

Judging by your spelling, you were the champion of living in the dorms.

no i got out senior year, and that 10% is just seniors, no one else can live off campus

2 years in dorms at insane ripoff prices. $840 for a room you share with some other guy and a meal plan that served average food.

8-month housing/room and board at my school is $7030 for a 12x12 double, which is immeasurably tiny. Not much better than $840/mo., and the dorms are ALL at least 35 years old. The last one was built in 1969, and most were built in the 1940s and 1950s. Trust me though, these aren't 'nice' old buildings. They're nasty, smelly old dorm buildings.

You have to stay in the dorms? Where the crap is this school, communist China? 😉

Oh, btw, I've lived in the dorms for 2 years now. I'll be living in the nicest dorm on campus next year (bathroom in the room & air conditioning). After that I plan on moving to an apartment.
