Pitfall on the Atari 2600. There was another one on the Commodore 64 but I don't remember the name.

EDIT: Ooops... pc game. 😱

X-Com and Command & Conquer where some of the greats I remember for sure. It's kind of sad, we don't see the type of games we used to, it's all FPS etc... now. Luckily there are still some great RTS games out there, but I doubt anytime soon there will be another game like X-Com that I remember 10 years later.

Wolfenstein (Not the 3D version but the apple IIe version)
Police Quest back on the 386.. or was it a 286?
L.O.R.D. MMORPG, well not online but BBS

YEAH!

the best for me was probably BF1942, 1-3 years ago when it was super-popular. online games just can't be beat.

the first game I remember playing, though, is leisure suit larry 1 (1987).. sooo old school, and I was about 8 when i played it on our 286. I didn't know wtf was goin on.

Wolfenstein 3d

I remeber getting the demo and yelling "OMG Dad! You gotta check this out!"

then whining until he bought me the full version 🙂
