1979-80 Radioshack TRS-80, "like Jadinolfs" mine also required a cassette deck for programs, but I think the memory was more like 8 K maybe?

Yep, that upgrade came about that time.🙂

Apple IIe, with everything. Printer, tapes (casettes natch), 2 floppies, whatever else....used it till it was donated to a friends kids.

Lost track of the many dozens following. Stopped buying prebuilts after compuke presario fiasco...."thankyou compuke for teaching me how NOT to build a pc" And they have a weird definition of "upgradeable". Upgradeable my foot. One memory slot, no agp except OB, locked bios, horrible proprietary gardware and drivers...you name it, they did it to force you to buy new one rather than truly upgrade...

old old 286 with a 10MB - yes, MB - HD, 5 1/4" floppy drive and a 3 1/2" floppy, which lasted for 4 days before the HD crashed - whoops didn't know you had to park the heads on those old drives 😛

My g/f has it now... but it's been bastaridized.

P3 450
64 MB ram (this was when it was like $250 for 64 MB)
6 gig hd
S3 Savage4 32MB
Live 4.1

Tandy 1000TX. It was a 286. Cost around $2500. Came with a 20MB HDD, which was too small, so I ended up getting a 60MB for around $300 :-0

We always had multiple computers when I was growing up. Whenever my father bought a new machine I would get the old one.

Commodore 64 was the first, followed by:

Apple IIc, 286, 386, 486dx266 with 64mb of ram! (I remember being overjoyed when I was given this machine as the amount of memory it had was virtually unheard of at the time), and the infamous Pentium 60MHZ with the FDIV bug <-- Still have the processor, doesn't work anymore though 🙁

My first was a Macintosh SE/30. Then I remember getting a Pentium 100MHz box and wiping Windows 95 off of it to install Linux. Good times.

First PC was a Gateway 2000 386SX-16, 1MB RAM, 40MB HDD, 13" or 14" VGA monitor. No sound card, no modem, no nothin. Ran F-15 Strike Eagle, Falcon 3.0 and A10 Warthog just great though. A little slow with Kings Quest 5. Doom was bad, needed an upgrade to 2MB just to run it, and when it ran it was quite the slide show.

Packard Bell 486SX/33
4MB of RAM (which I later doubled 😛)
240MB HDD
I bought a soundcard for it too, paid $130 for a SB2 compatible. And got on the CD-ROM bandwagon much too early and ended up with a 1X... took me a few hours to get it working with DOS and Win 3.1
But man, did it ever run Wolf3d smoothly 😛

AMD 386DX-40 (but AMD sucked then)
1MB RAM
40MB HD
Trident 1MB ISA Video
14" monitor

I remember playing Darkseed, X-Wing, Stunts, and Dune 2. Dune 2, that game was so awesome back then.
