Not taxed: Dad paid me to scrap out houses after he finished drywalling them. $3/hr.

Taxed: Order taker at software fullfillment house. $6/hr. Lol, after taxes I was probably making as much as my first job.

Soccer ref on the weekends when I wasn't playing. Paid between $14 and $20 per hour. I was 13 at the time.

Me too. In fact that was the richest period in my life. Made about $40 per week would spend $10 at most even if I went crazy (I'm talking 1966-68 money). At Christmas time, the tips from the wealthy neighborhood my route went into were phenominal. My paper route earnings paid most of my way through college.

Other early jobs-basically slave labor (14+ hour days, worked like a dog) on relative's farm in the summer-in retrospect, I loved that job, cashier in drugstore at 16, dishwasher/short order cook at 17.

I was bagging up rosin @ 10 cents per one pound bag when I was 15. I could make about $10 per hour untaxed, but it was dirty, sticky, crappy work. I needed to shower for a long time, and wash my hair three or more times whenever I got done, and I still felt sticky and nasty the next day.

I had a paper route, reffed soccer, took out trash / brought in groceries for all the old ladies, and other poorly paid and meaningless jobs.

But my first semi-real job was being a Busboy from age 16-18. A fun yet completely hellish experience. Pros: Waitresses and Hostesses. Cons: Everything else.

Bagboy at supermarket. Cleaning the bathrooms was a religious experience, because I emerged from hell and lived

Intern at some crazy .com company that is obviously bust (Upstream Networks) for a nice $10 an hour. Sadly after paying self-employment taxes the per hour take was less than desired.

I did a lot of odd jobs around the neighborhood but my first real job was when I was 15. I was a dishwasher for an Italian restaurant. Nothing like scraping burnt on marinara out of a pan every night.

1. Yard care
2. GTM Recycling/Selling (Managed database/website/sales)
3. All Advantage (Advertising company, linux/website production/trouble shooter)

Now I'm looking for a job at an automobile related place, I won't make as good money with automobile stuff but I think I'll be a happier guy. Working on computers is getting old.
