Just curious as to what everyone's first ever job was.

Mine where I paid no taxes: a neighbor's kid and myself ran a landscaping service where we mowed/edged your yard among other services.

Mine where I paid taxes: worked for a company called Brinkman Technologies as a combination Visual Basic and Web Site Developer. (Got the internship so to speak through my high school business programming teacher who was impressed with the ease in which we blew through her class without trying.) Fired a month later because we basically did nothing. (Originally brought in to do Visual Basic, they put us on redeveloping their website, and after a while we just pretty much did nothing)

Now I don't do any programming at all b/c I realized in college that I hated it.

I built rabit cages to order for a guy who sold them to pet stores. I made ~$3-$5 per cage, and usually could make 4 an hour. I only got about 5 hours a week, so at the same time I did yardwork for 4 homes.

I worked for Price Mart when I was 15 (I don't know if that's a national grocery store or not), but I was fired after a week. When I turned 16 I got a job with a local computer company that did custom server builds, network installations, etc.

I remember she looked so-so, was dumb as a pig, but her mom gave me a nice bonus when she actually passed!

Worked in my uncle's sweatshop when I was a freshman in highschool. I had some good memories about that place til I later found out about the exploited immigrants... I was making minimum wage, and they were definitely making less than $4.25/hr.
