I had a TRS 80, and an XT back in the day, but my parents bought those.

First one I ever bought was a Packard Bell 486 and I think is was about 1200 bucks.

I had a Commodore 64, paid $200, with no disk drive or Cassette tape. It was said - I typed in programs out of a magazine, couldn't even store anything.

Returned it a week or 2 later and got:

Coleco Adam, $200, 1987 or so. I think they were originally $800 or so but just started dumping them for $200. Not a bad deal - came with a high-speed cassette and daisy wheel printer!

Eventually ditched that and got a full Commodore 64 system.

386sx 30mb hard drive, 4 meg ram, 16 bit color, 14" monitor. Somewhere around 1500.00 in like 1992 I think.

That was the first real computer.

I had a c64 in the 80's with floppy drive. I think it was around 1000.00 all together.

Apple 2+, whenever it first came out. It was a couple of grand, I think. 48K RAM, woohoo, and you needed an expansion card to run Interger Basic, and another expansion card so that you could have both upper and lower case text. :p
