:(

The frustrating part about it was that there were 6 of us less than 10 feet from where it happened. Usually when a dog goes aggressive it'll growl or snarl or bark...we didn't even really know what was going on until we saw the dogs tail wagging on the other side of the fence and by then we were to late to stop anything.

Danny handled the situation much better than most people would have.

You should file a police report against the dog's owner. Stress that the dog shouldn't be put to sleep, but the owner should be fined for not having control of his animal.

I'm sorry for your loss, loosing a family pet is one of the hardest things to do - just remember that you were a good owner and friend, the grief will pass and the happiness will remain. :)

Dude, I'm tearing up too.
My heart is now heavy with sadness for you.

< Some little buttmunches down the street tried to shave Shadow. She got away, but the hair hasn't grown back on her thigh where they shaved her.

Taking another animals life like that when it is not pray like mice or birds is not a good sign for letting that animal live.

This is a dog we're talking about, it doesn't differentiate between mice, birds, & cats. Trying to subject a dog to your personal human morals is asinine.

The owner just needs to keep it away from cats.

Yeah, I agree. I would be absolutely fvcking irate that it wasn't kept on a leash. It's not the dog's fault.....but holy sh!t would I want to kill the owner.

sorry man about your cat-
when i walked my dog, i had one of those extendo-leashes, so i could have it 3 feet, up to 25 feet away... my dog could 'roam' and i had control.. if only he had such a leash...

Think of the good times :)

Then I seriously think you're a moron. That's one of the biggets problems with this country is baseless lawsuits...one animal attacking another isn't a legit lawsuit IMHO unless the owner had reason to believe that was gonna happen. Why was the cat on a private golfcourse unattended?

- And sorry your cat died man...that sucks...good to see your being reasonable about it and not acting like some of the other sue-crazy retards on here. Lets all sue to solve our problems!

Edit, my condolences. I know how hard it is to lose a pet. They are almost like another family member.

stfu you moron.

Why am I a moron? I've thought about turning my dog loose on the neighbors cat that likes to piss under my house and crawl on my car several times but I don't. I am a responsible pet owner. You don't think my dog would like it much better if she could run around free?

Amen!

I agree it's a horrible thing that his cat died, but it's a known fact that dogs don't like cats, the same with cats not liking mice, etc.

My neighbors dog has killed a squirrel and a stray cat, but is no mean a threat to any human being. One of the sweetest dogs alive, just hates things that run across his backyard fence. My dogs will also go after cats, except my dogs aren't big so if they ever encountered a cat, they probably wouldn't do anything, but they are very nice to people.

I don't want to put the dog to sleep. It is a tragic ocurrance. It just hard to deal with when a member of the family is just gone like that.

I never had a loss like this so close to me until know...

Put the owner to sleep? or at the very least savagely beat him for letting a vicious dog run free?
