Two weeks on an assembly line, most of it spent making Harley clutch cables. I hated it, but really ended up quitting because they didn't think my reason for being late was good enough and told me to not bother coming in.

Movie Theater, Concesssion Stand. Worked there one day (as a teen). I Quit. They pay sucked and the job was just insane, complete boredom for about an hour, sitting behind the counter doing mindless crap, and then 30-40minutes of dealing with angry customers. I may have gotten used to it had I stuck it out, but, I had a second job and decided I didn't need to suffer.

I've had mostly good jobs, but I also quit Toys R Us pretty quickly. It was a grand opening, I worked at the store about a month or so before it opened. The management was really awful and I couldn't deal with the BS.

One year I was hard up for some cash about a month before heading back to school and was looking for a short something to do for money, so I went to a Willstaff to see if they could help. Amazingly, they found a temporary position for a couple of weeks at a sears service center for about $8 an hour. I went, worked my two weeks, and left for school with a bit of change in my pocket.

Worked at the library for 2 months. I had a 19 unit schedule that semester (or was it 17?, but either way, it was 5 tech classes) and I said F-THAT to working. I just went up to the supervisor and said my classes are too much and that's it. I only wanted some extra spending cash anyway. Bought me 2x7200.10s the next chance I could.

literally about 9 seconds. we'd met in the tv lounge in my dorm, made out all night, and after 6 hours of that we softly tread into the stairwell on the top floor next to the roof exit. She went down, the job lasted 9 seconds.

WOW! I guess I have more sticktuitiveness than you guys.

My shortest job was actually 2 weeks at Taco Bell. Outside of Denver back in 1988.

I didn't mind working there at all. At times it was actually fun. But there was this ass hat assistant manager there named "Harley" that just senselessly barked at everyone there.

One day, I was doing drive through and had the drinks lined up FIFO for everyone waiting in the line. It was lunch rush, so it was about six or seven drinks lined up in a row. He came up to that part of the counter, pushed all the drinks together in one big pile so I didn't know what drink was what (IIRC, they didn't have the little "DIET", "OTHER", etc. bubbles on the lids back then). He then yelled "don't take up so much damn counter space!" I looked at him, took off my apron, threw it in his face and said "don't take up so much oxygen" and walked out.

I was the championship parade coordinator for the city of Cleveland. The position was removed.

The position was removed because LeBron turned out to be LeSuck.

Quit a telemarketing job 2 weeks into it. They called me back a week later and asked if I would come back. I told them only if they doubled my pay, let me come in at noon, and gave me a 4 ten with fri sat sun off. They actually agreed to it. I quit the same day I started again.

Had a two week temp job (as a file clerk) that ended up being four and a half weeks.

Had some dishwashing jobs that lasted 2-4 months.

Had a temp job doing customer support for VisionTek back in 2004, that lasted two months before I got my first 'real' job.

2 weeks as a dishwasher, bus boy, and anything else that needed to be done at a local Dixie Pig BBQ place when I was in high school. It was my first job and I took it to get money for a car battery.

Ha! Back when they were up in Gurnee, right? I bet you know some of my co-workers. 🙂

Worked a 2 week temp job that turned into two months. For some reason, some of the people really liked me there. Maybe it was the guy as admin assistant. The person who replaced me got fired before her probation was up at 3 months. I probably wouldn't have made it as anything other than a temp.

Geez...in College how many people showed up to "training" for a job just to realize it was a telemarketing or MLM or door-to-door sales job. Plenty of less-than-an-hour jobs...sometimes only payment was Pizza (if anything)...

Two weeks at a pizza place. I was doing prep with the owner in the mornings, he had said I'd work 20-25 hours per week and instead I was waking up at 6am to do 2 hours of work at minimum wage. Completely changing my sleep cycle (I was a college student so I slept late) for the $90/week wasn't worth it so I quit.

Six week contract at a telecommunications engieering firm as a drafter. I'm rather glad that the engineering economy around here damn near died, I'm so much happier doing EMS.
