Meh, to be honest nothing really annoyed my from HS. Typical life that I have no regrets over. :) I am, however, annoyed with high schools of today around my area. I mean, jeebus, how far do we have to go to dumb down our kids? But that's getting off-topic...

I was a "gifted student" and made honor roll through middle school and my first year of high school. Then I hit a brick wall, so to speak.

My grades plummeted in subjects I had no interest in (Algebra, History), and I continued to excel in subjects that seemed natural to me (English, Biology).

I have no one to blame but myself*, however, I would have thrived in an environment that was less rigid. I'm an intelligent person, but I learn differently than most, I think.

College was pretty much the same for me, until I figured out that formal education just isn't for everyone. Once I accepted that, things were much better for me :)

*as a student I had terrible (if any) study habits, I simply never learned how.

thats pretty much the way i am. i excelled at the stuff that came naturally like english and history, but i was never interested in math and it never came easy to me. when something doesn't come easy to me i get really frustrated to the point where it really bothers me and pretty much just give up on it. bad habit and attitude i guess, but thats just the way i am.

i think i failed every math class beyond regular math (like algebra and geometry).

i never had good study habits or even learned them either i guess. always procrastinated.
i'm not dumb but i just need motivation or need to have interest in the things i do.

i don't think i have a problem with authority but i find school very constricting (i think thats that word i want). like it seems to narrow your view than broaden it.

for the most part, I enjoyed high school... the only thing that really annoyed me were the teachers. a lot of classes seemed based around:

-rewarding memorization, not understanding or insight
-stressing procedure over education

I got pretty good grades, because I don't mind working the system or anything, but it was great when I went to college and discovered that professors there understood that it was more important to understand material on a deeper level than memorize facts (ie: I understand darwin's theory of evolution... but for the life of me, I couldn't tell you the year in which origin of species was published. but which is more important?)

"busy-work" (almost everything... but there were some interesting assignments)
