I was always curious about this one. So-called "classic" novels usually make me retch but W&P is actually quite good. I would have no qualms about reading it again.
just read "Castle for Rent" dont know who wrote it but very nice... short but nice
BTW

That's an awesome deal. We have something going on here now where you give a book in good condition and you get to pick out two books they have. It's hard to find great titles but I picked up quite a few good books.
Advise and Consent by Allen Drury. Great book; I think this is about the third time I've read it. I usually read about 3-4 books a month as I'd rather read than watch TV. Just started on a book called Vortex by Larry Bond.
The Silver Wolf by Alice Borchardt (Anne Rice's sister)
good book but it's quite old, mid 1999. i haven't touched a book in almost six months. it's about a shapeshifter, woman into wolf. nice story. it was the first book in a series of 3.
"The End Of Nature" - Bill Mckibbens a good book on why the author thinks that the natural world is no more because we have altered the atmostphere. lots of intresting information
"Gaviotas" author is on the tip of my tounge. Great story about a sustainable living village in columbia.
I'm currently reading "stupid white men" by michael moore. Some of the chapters are excellent (like the one on the bush admin) I consider them a must read for EVERYONE! but a lot of the other chapters are stupid and just trying to be funny.
I listed three becuase I've read them all within the last month.
God's Debris. A great book by Scott Adams (Creator of Dilbert). It's a thought experiment. Another way to look at the world which seems implausible, but you can't really say that's not the way it is. Non-religious for those of you who are that way...
Hmm the last book I read was Venus in Furs by Leopold Von Sacher Mascoh (sp?). It was pretty cool but I must say a tad disturbing. Incase you didnt know the "M" in S&M comes from his last name.
