I played wolf3d before I played doom, but I also played Flight Sim 5 before I played either of them... Wouldn't a flight sim be a 3d game? Heh.... the first 3d accelerated game for me, would probably be SiN in OpenGL when I got my ati rage128 card.... 😀

I think it was a star wars dark forces demo we got with our really old mac. If I'm remebering this correctly, all I did was walk down a corridor; I was too small to know how to do anything else.

Wolfenstain 3D, cant remember if it was a 286 or 486

It was cool but not OMFG cool, Then not long after came DOOM, which was like, OMFG.

But then, thinking back further, I believe it was F/A-18 Fighter for the Amiga, a pretty decent combat flight sim for it's time.

The cowboy hologram game someone mentioned above. After that, Duke Nukem 3d. It wasn't true 3D, more like 2.5d. Monsters weren't 3d but the levels were sort of 3d.

wolf 3d on a friends dads pc😛 yes its 3d, the levels are 3d. u just can't look up or down😛

first useful 3d accel, 3dfx monster 3d🙂 $300🙁

I think mine was Descent too. That game was tha bomb! I still have Descent 2 somewhere around here...

Mechwarrior 2! 😀

Though Doom 3 was the first, technically, but I say Mech 2 because it didn't use sprites for enemies.
