The 1st TRUE 3D FPS was Quake. You had the ability to jump (but not crouch until Quake2) and everything was 3D including the monsters, unlike Doom which used 2D sprites for monsters. FuhQuake is still my favourite game today!:)

The first TRUE 3D game was one of the launch titles of the original Playstation. Can't remember the name, but it was in a FPS perspective.

For all you who think that Wolfenstein was 3D - think again.

jumping flash?

I think the tank game/flag capture game some of you are thinking of might be Spectre VR.

"You should have used a time reversal cube!"
The one with the cowboy, right? I think I remember it being about $1.50, which was still a lot considering even the sit-down car games were a buck. Played it at Lagoon amusement park in Utah :p

Someone help me out here.

It was a game about a bald dude trying to get this girl. It played like an RPG... it was 3d (3d characters on 3d pre-rendered backgrounds), and it was one of the earliest games i played for pc. It was a weird game, but i vaguley remember flying around on some dragon or sometihng towards the end of the game.

Checking... but it wasn't any kind of dungeon based rpg. The main character just explored his city, interacted with the people, and i guess tries to find the girl. I vaguely remember a disco dancing part of the game lol. Im pulling my hair out here trying to find out what it is. ill keep you all updated.

Well I guess there's battlezone and wolfenstein and stuff like that, but I'm more inclined to think Starfox on snes might be more like one of the first true 3D games. (actual textured polygons) There's probably other stuff before that though.
