I've taken typing classes, both in high school 40 years ago, and in college last year. My typing speed varies by the day, averaging over 40 wpm with less than 2 errors, but if I push it, I can type 70+ with no or one error for a minute or two.
I've broken or badly jammed every finger in both hands at least once, so I physically can't make the little fingers hit the keys they're supposed to. That affects both speed and accuracy.
