I'm done with uTorrent as I do not like adware/spyware in anything I use. I've been using Deluge regularly for a while, and qbittorrent a few times. Both look very similar to uTorrent, minus the ads.

Is this in reference to qBittorrent? I prefer the interface to Transmission which I think came with my Debian install, but I can't remember. qBittorrent is wholly independent from uTorrent, which is closed source. It couldn't be forked if you wanted to. Windows doesn't come with a torrent client.

No, windows does not come with a client, but when you download bittorrent it comes with packaged client. That is the one to which i am referring. I have used numerous clients on windows and settled on the one packaged with BitTorrent, i heard it was forked from uTorrent.

uTorrent when I occasionally use torrents. Mostly due to the android app for it to control it remotely.

well by cracky. i didnt know. thanks. i have been using a network folder for years. save torrent to the torrent folder, and utorrent automatically loads it from there. thing is, i use a computer and rdp to do it because i also need to stop other torrents that have finished and whatnot.

ill check out the droid app. sounds like just what i need.

Been using utorrent 1.8.1 (Build 12639), although i am aware version 3.1.0.26671 and what not has been released , there are some bloats which asks to be installed like toolbars. But i do not find those things too disturbing, they can be deselected. But i like v 1.8.1, consumes very little memory. Also because the v 3.1 is not too good at recognizing the magnet links , v1.8 catches immediately: which saves a lot of time finding the same torrent with similar hashes.
