dont use one for normal day to day stuff. I get up between 530am and 7am on my own.

sometimes, for work, I have to be somewhere at a specific time, like 1am, or 3 am, etc....then i set it with 30 minutes to get ready + driving time to the location.

prior to having my son 6 weeks ago, 8:20am.

now it's 6:13am. typically i'm up before then though.

i set my clock about 10 minutes fast too because i'm out of it when i get woken up and sometimes just press the snooze button without even knowing.

7:30 most days to get the kids up for school, but T/Th at 7 because they have before school activities.

7 on the weekends so I can get some peaceful time to myself before everyone else gets up.

Usually about 1 hour and 15 minutes before I have to be at work or wherever I have to go that causes me to have to get up early. First alarm goes off and I set it on the hour. So if I'm on 7am shift I set at 5:45, if I'm on 8am shift I set at 6:45.

On days off I usually set it at like 12pm. I used to actually wakeup on my own by then but now it seems if I don't have an alarm I sleep in till like 4-5pm, wasting my day, so I set an alarm.

Now 7:30am.

During go-live implementation poop-storm, 4:30am.

Ugh. I don't miss waking up at 4:30.

I use an alarm clock maybe once a year, if that much. Only for really strange situations like I have to absolutely have to leave in the middle of the night (12-3AM). I'm up with the dawn's first light 99.9% of the time. I generally don't need much sleep, the usual night is 4-5 hours with maybe one night a week as catch up (8 hours or so).

I also haven't used a watch in the last 25 years or so.

I have a problem with mornings. My alarm goes off at 6:30, I end up sleeping in or watching the news until 7:25am, spend 15 minutes getting ready, and swing into work about 15 minutes late. Fortunately I work in an office where our income is made with client appointments, so they don't really care what time you come in. Don't think I'd make it in a strict "YOU HAVE TO BE HERE ON TIME!" environment though :(

Our hours are supposed to be 8:30-5:00 but very few people work those exact hours. The warehouse guys usually come in late, so they are more like 9:00-5:30. I like to leave early, so I'm more 8:00-4:30. No one here cares as long as the work gets done.
