What third world problem did you not have today?

I didn't kill an antelope, just to have a pack of wild dogs force me away from the carcass while they devoured it and leaving me without food for the day.

Yours?

I don't have $100 for a Hooters Constant Craving card. All I have is this lousy video. :(

Fucking sucks Cyber Monday and Black Friday land when I'm dead broke.

I didn't pass out over my poorly ventilated wood stove that combos as an oven.

Seriously, watching Anthony Bourdain last night, people in Brazil with wood burning stoves indoors. Hope they had chimneys.

Was going to head into the forest to hunt for food but didn't on account of owning a fridge, having electricity and being in the possession of Pizza leftovers.

I didn't suffer from an easily curable disease or one that could be prevented from simple vaccination.

Of course they do. My grandpa has one in his house on the farm and that thing doubles as house heat. Awesome stoves! Cook a turkey like nothing!

Hmm since i'm in a 3rd world country.....

Traffic, the motoconcho's are fucking insane here...5 people on a motorbike, a guy carrying rebarb in one arm and driving with the other, pot holes that would make the Michigan roadways jealous, it's also been raining non stop here.

I found out that our house has this guy protecting our back yard

There was a snake trying to get in the house this morning..

Did i mention it was raining a lot? This was in town yesterday

I hope you don't mind me asking a question in the respectful manner to which I have become accustomed. Are you doing relief work or are you just an idiot?

The old man lives here (D.R.) half the year since he hates the cold now, he had a stroke a while ago and just fractured his hip this summer so i'm here helping him...it's not at all bad here depending on where you live. The driving is insane though....

Why the Dominican Republic? Was he born there?

By chance, I came across and started following a YouTube channel by a guy who is retirement age (mid 60s) who travels frequently to the Philippines, and is considering moving there. Biggest drawing card is how cheap it is, if you didn't plan your retirement very well. Things like 90 cent haircuts, $2 meals and $100/month rent. There's a little sleazy aspect to the attraction, too ... apparently young Filipino women love to latch onto these "rich" old American guys, so you have all these fat, bald 60 year old Americans running around like rock stars with 25 year old women. A little bit creepy.

It's cheap, warm and only a 4 hour flight, there's a large expat community here, lotsa Europeans especially Germans and Canadians with a few Dutch as well. There's a lot of that sleazy shit going on here as well, lotsa beloved patriot's on the prowl, although there have been concentrated efforts by the local government to start cleaning this up.

I heard bad things from that half of the island. I wouldn't want to go there if my life depended on it. Much like Mexico.
