1) Dressing like a whore is way to acceptable these days. Especially for 12 year olds.
2) Tramp Stamps
3) Sex. Just seems like parents are not as strict about it.
4) Kids think they deserve cell phones from what I can tell. Sadly, parents agree.
5) Pregnancy. Not a big deal anymore and I have seen to many 12 year olds with kids.

regarding (1) above, watch ET and how kids used to dress. Then go to a mall. It's sad and pathetic.

America is turning into a turd bowl. We should adopt some middle eastern laws. And I am not joking. This country is becoming FUBAR.

We've told our kids their whole lives that if they just work hard the rewards will come. SHIT AIN'T LIKE THAT!! Maybe they should be entitled to more of the truth?

drivers license

And their own car when they turn 16.

Constantly changing popular brand name clothing.
iPod/iPhone with unlimited texting
Education that they don't have to earn ("I'm paying your salary, give me an A)
Drugs (I've got _______ I need painkillers and uppers just to cope)

I think society as a whole feels entitled to medication to "fix" everything.

Let me evoke one of the most famous comments--albeit improperly attributed--to one of this country's more unfortunate Commander in Chief's, Herbert C Hoover:

"The children of my generation look to a time when we all may have a SPIDER in every pot."

I am actually starting to think the older generations sucking down pensions that were never properly funded and throwing this burden on their kids are the selfish ones, not kids who want a free CD.

Well this is surely true. A great many girls dress like $10 whores looking for a trick and then get their low quality heroin fix, and at young ages. The reason is in great part their parents are just too weak/stupid to tell them not to dress like that. So they get guys slobbering over them, start putting their own movies onto the net or cell phone pics or whatever then by the time they're 20 they're an up and coming porn star until they get HIV 8 months later, nobody will touch them, they get full-on into crack and finally die from OD under an overpass at 23.

Are you like 80 or something?

1) It's not really that acceptable. Everyone frowns upon those girls. I don't see that as acceptance.
2) Just a trend?
3) Yeah, probably because we don't live in the 50s anymore where sex is supposed to be only for marriage(for proper women anyway...). Sex should be more accepted.
4) I don't see the problem. We all went to cell phones at my residence because landlines were worthless if we were out of the house. I see cellphone as better for both the kid and parent. Parents can keep track of their kids with GPS apps if they are really that pesky, and kids can have all the cool shit with it.
5) Uh, it's still a big problem. I think we treat it differently than previous generations did, and maybe that's why you think it's more acceptable. (i.e. not sending them to special schools, or dropping them out of high school/college forever and doing all kinds of other controlling behaviors that shunned them from society and basically put them off the radar forever...) Previous generations just took these girls out of society. No one would get to know about them because they would be instantly dropped from school or whatever, and they'd be stuck at their homes or in some special environment. And I'd love to hear about how many 12 year olds are having babies. Maybe it's just that the education system isn't working regarding education about sex. <--- Thaaaaat...

ET is a movie you tool.

Anyway, you're a troll, but I responded anyway. Probably put you on the ignore list for obvious trollin'.

Anyway, things this generation feels entitled to:

Rights for LGBTQ folk. (It's truth. Just a matter of time before all you old people die and then legislation will be passed to make gay marriage legal; fact.)
Maybe greener environments.
I don't know if they feel entitled to the free music and movies, but they sure do take advantage of it. :D
Internet connection.

I think society as a whole feels entitled to medication to "fix" everything.

This. It's not even kids as much as it's old people really. They expect a fix for everything. They also feel more entitled to healthcare than young people even though young people have more life to live.

Kids are like, "meh... poppin' some pillz 4 dis partaaayy..."

trident as to your point number 4 no one needs a cell phone. everything was fine for the 100000s of years before they existed. TBH they are more of a PITA then a blessing

False. Maybe if you live in 90210.

That's always the case.
That's because cellphones are cool, and adults want this shit too... Old generations are like, "Epic phone is epic! Epic music player is epic!" It's not a new generation thing.
Yeah, because older generations were never like this... You do realize our standards of living have gone up right?
False. That's the previous generations.

Yeah, because businesses don't need to communicate with each other at various times in various places. Let's all just go back to the stone age guys. We don't need any of this shit to "survive." We can lower our standard of living to below that of the most impoverished nations in the world and we'll be jussst fine. Anubis, you're a fail troll.

I'm sure hospitals do great for doctors on call who are out of the house... (Some are on call like 24/7/365)

they've had pagers for this for many, many years. land lines have always been quite accessible, and for those people that are on-call, you are always accessible. This is no different now than it was before cell phones.

and no one is on call every hour of every day. that is retarded.

also, business ran quite well before cell phones. Sure, you could probably show a huge increase in profits or whatever, some sort of metrics that show the impact on cell phones for business--but you could also pull up some rather damning metrics that show the impact of increased cell phone usage while driving. ....so then we have to discuss what is actually more important here.

Maybe he hates it because he hates going to his job.

Just because your daddy hates cellphones doesn't mean they are worthless. What kind of fucktard thinks of an argument like that? "OH MY DADDY DON'T LIKE THEM AND HE A DOCTOR. DERP DERP..."

They are pretty invaluable for someone who is on call and doesn't want to be confined right next to their phone 24/7/365.
