no idea... maybe because t-mac isn't scoring his 31 ppg average as last year!

Tmac isn't scoring as much because they don't have anyone else opposing teams need to guard. Giricek has been out, garrity is out.

they shouldn't have gotten rid of darrel armstrong imo.

actually he's played some good games last year. what he needs to do is give up his contract so the magic will have more money.

I was being a bit sarcastic.. but juwan is good but not great. What they need are some perimeter shooters... someone tmac can dish the ball out to when he drives.

:D

I should have noted no perimeter players so everyone clogs the middle and forces tmac to hit long jumpers. He used to have more success drawing traffic and kicking it out to reliable perimeter players.

Doc Rivers was the problem what everyone was saying. He ran Horace Grant and Darrell Armstrong out of town. Grant was a respected vet, and Armstrong was the heart of that team.

Orlando got punk'd by Detroit:

1. Grant Hill for Chucky Atkins and Ben Wallace...ouch
2. Losing in games 5, 6, and 7 last year.

They are just demoralized by the D...

Ben Wallace, Corey Magette, Bo Outlaw, Chauncey Billups, and Amare Stoudamire are some of the players that the Magic have let slip through their fingers over the last few years. John Gabriel put all of his eggs into the Free Agent basket and came out with one star, one gimp, and no future. Sadly, a good guy like Doc Rivers is paying the price for it.

But as a Piston's fan, all I can say to John Gabriel is

"it feels good to be in the second round" - T-mac last year when the magic were up 3-1

They can't handle the zone and every team in the league knows it. Partly because of coaching, partly because they can't shoot over it so they can pack a defense around Tmac when he drives.

The heart of the team isn't always the best player. Armstrong was not the best player, but he was the emotional sparkplug of the team.

i disagree, the point guard is suppose to lead the team, but he can only do so much. there has to be more than emotion to drive the team. skill and talent often helps. emotion is only a part of the equation. this is true for businesses as well. successful businesses often have talent, skill, and motivation. in that case, being a point guard, one should have some sort of drive or motivation.
