I also doubt we have ALL the mammals pinned down for identification, but those that we don't are probably rodents in the Rainforests, not sizable dog-like creatures in flat, arid Texas.

Looks bigger than a rodent to me. There's a lot of stuff left out there. It will be found as humans keep expanding their territories and encroaching on nature.

Apparently the Vietnamese knew about it before the scientists...

Seems like they are always finding new critters out there.
