Dwight Schrute "I signed up for Second Life about a year ago. Back then, my life was so great I literally wanted a second one. Absolutely everything was the same... except I could fly. Second Life is not a game. It is a multi-user, virtual environment. It doesn't have points or scores. It doesn't have winners or losers." lol

You guys would be surprised to find that the people that play Second Life are probably more "normal" than what we see here on ATOT.

Businesses, universities, even those practicing medicine have found benefits in using Second Life.

Granted there are the typical griefers and weirdos, but people are finding different uses for it.

Never even installed it. Looked like a pathetic attempt at entertainment.

<--one of the [apparently] few people who don't know sh!t about Second Life.

My boss has a college friend that played. He made around 100k in the game. He created a program so that players could do their taxes a lot easier or something (in game taxes) then sold the application to players.

lol nice vids. without griefing second life would be worthless.

I wanted to get it only because I thought it was a joke on The Office. Apparently it's real. I tried to figure that shit out one time and it kept crashing on my Mac so I gave up. It was one of the more frustrating moments of my computer usage in recent memory. I couldn't figure anything out even after doing the tutorials.

It appears to be a very popular "The Sims" online version. Yet, if the news media didn't whore stories on it, I would never have known.
