I strongly disagree that you should tell your wife.
Not that you should be keeping secrets, but what purpose would it serve? Would it help your marriage in any way? Will you continue to pal around with that girl and her SO?

Because if he does NOT tell her, and she finds out later, his wife will wonder why he kept it a secret. also, what if this gal becomes Glen Close.....??? Shouldnt his wife know from the beginning so she can stand by him if it gets bad? (worst case scenerio, I know, but hey.. ya never know) Suppose this chick keeps hounding him and then tries to make it look like him chasing her... if he tells his wife now, and that happens, at least his wife will not be out of the loop and wondering what the hell is going on.
But mostly he should tell his wife, because we are control freaks and like to know everything!!

They won't be friends any more! Since the OP is not going to take the woman up on her offer, the woman can easily say she was joking. There was no physical contact. Reread the conversation and you'll see that it's going to be real easy for the woman to laugh it off as a joke even if she was totally serious. Nothing can be proven and nothing happened.
I just don't see what could be gained by telling.
