What the hell is happening to my face?

I woke up this morning and the right side of my face felt all numb and weird. Anyway, I got up and had a glass of OJ but found the drink was dribbling out of the right hand corner of my mouth. Then I noticed that my right eye was getting dry like I wasn't blinking, and it feels like every time I blink my right eye only goes half way down. I absolutely cannot wink with my right eye (always used to be able to of course). Just nothing happens when I try, like I have no control over the muscle whatsoever. I also can't eat properly because I can't move the right side of my mouth - when I smile only the left side smiles so I have this weird half smile thing, and I can't help it. This all started this morning and I'm starting to freak out - I've gone the whole day of work manually pulling down my right eyelid so the eye doesn't get too dry and start to sting.

Does anyone have any idea what the hell is going on? This has never happened to me before. I have a day off tomorrow, should I see my doctor?

Definitly see your doctor, I would have done that today. Hopefully nothing else goes numb tonight...

Yes, it could be a stroke, but there are other more temporary causes.

Only your doctor knows for sure.

I know someone with the same problem. Doctor said something related to an ear infection. He couldn't drink with us at the bar...but he tried.

wtf. if you even need to ask if you should go to a doctor you aren't smart enough to live. I'm surprised you've lasted this long.

You should go to a doctor just in case, but if that's what it is it will go away on its own.

Good god man, go to the ER now. If that happened to me, I'd be there so fast they'd have to send someone to my house to get my shorts.

No kidding man ... the symptoms you've described could EASILY be a stroke & the longer you wait to get treatment the worse the outcome could be.

Go to the ER NOW!

(Are you fvcking stupid or somthing?)

sounds like bell's palsy.

i had a dog with the same or similar once, but it was his tongue that was paralyzed. had to have a hole cut into his side so we could pump food directly into his stomach.
