I have been filling a systems analyst spot since June 2000 working on an on going project for Fed contract. My background is all in LAN administration/installation/support first on Novell and then Windows NT/2000. Prior to that I worked on a 5 year contract providing programming support using FORTRAN on VAX/VMS systems for an infrared data acquisition project.

I Worked in Manhattan for 11 or so years, then Nassau-Suffolk for most of the next 19 years. I have worked in all 5 NYC boros.

I was in the Stock Option plan too, and I have a couple of thousand shares that I was counting on for retirement. Looks like I'm going to have to go to 'Plan B'.

You can be in the web field and be that way. What field are you in ?

IT consulting. Web apps are about the only thing I haven't done (at least haven't been paid to do).

Wow!

There are a lot more people here with non-computer type jobs than I would have guessed.
Even some folks that actually *gasp* work with their hands.
